Can you elaborate on the on state - is it steady or blinking?

A steady indicator occurs when low tire pressure is detected on one or more tires.

A blinking indicator is a system failure of some sort where sensors are not being detected or the signal emitted by the TPMS is somehow garbled.

This may be a silly question, but have you checked your tire pressure (when tires are cool) to verify that you're at or around specified tire pressures (sticker on doorframe will show recommended values)?  If you're a touch low, the indicator might be on and steady just after starting up and eventually go away after your tires have heated up and your pressure increases above the fault threshold.
