Walkman Not Charging

My Sony NWZ-e435f walkman does not charge. When i connect the walkman with my pc it shows battery full. But as soon as I disconnect the walkman, a message "Battery Low. Please Charge" appears. Please help in solving this problem.

Did you replace the power cord with one that was not "Sony issued"? EBay cords do not work. If you have had the unit for a long time the battery may be bad. It only recharges 500 times. A number of "fixes" have been suggested on other sites but NONE of them have worked for me.
