Hit Power No Picture No Sound

I recently bought a 2004 Sony 50in Flat screen television. Sony PTG 9016095. KF-50WE610. When I plug it in & hit power there's no picture or sound... The tv is in excellent condition.. my question is can I fix it & if so how?

I doubt it would be worth the time, effort, or expense to repair. Rear projections TVs are being given away by anyone that still owns one. You'd be much better off buying a new TV.
