Can't Turn Off Radio With Selector
radio turned on itself and now I can't turn off with selector selected on OFF position, clock worked fine fine few years but now this problem :(

I have a Sony Clock Radio ICF-C212. I sprayed the On Off switch with WD-40. I unplugged the radio. While it was unplugged, I checked and changed the 9 volt backup battery.
I plugged the radio in and I could turn it off! I do not know if the WD-40, unplugging or changing the battery fixed my problem. Maybe unplugging reset the radio. Unplugging the radio is similar to unplugging mycable box to fix my TV set.
