'protection' And 'push Power' In Display

When I plugged in and turned on Sony DAV-DZ175 Home Theatre the only thing that happens is "Protection" and "Push Power" keeps flashing in the display. I checked speaker wirings and everything looks good. This unit has never been used. Same was purchased last year, but was never opened.
