Cdx-m8800 Only Cd Not Working

alright so i have power to the faceplate and the cd player itself but if i flip the face plate none of the functions work. the only way i change station and change from turner to cd is through the remote conrtol. but that gets annoying trying to do it with remote everytime. beside i cant release the cd from the player since the remote does not have any function key on it to exit out the cd. any help will be much apprecaited.
