None Of The Register Tapes Have A Machine Number, Just Consecutive Numbers.why?
HOW DO I IDENTIFY THE MACHINE? APPARENTLY TWO ARE BEING USED.

Machine numbers are used to identify registers on a network. Since these machines are stand-alone versions, they don't have one. The easiest way to differentiate is to name the clerks slightly differently on each one. The clerk ID is printed every time so you can see the difference even on Z reports. You could put a 1 after each clerk on one register and a 2 after each clerk name on the other.
