How To Replace Fuse In A Sharp Carousel R-820bc Microwave

However if the fuse is black a serious event has happened and requires further investigation. Likely suspects are the capacitor and the diodes on the magnetron.
If the fuse has just broken then it may be just through age. However proceed with caution to resolve your dilemma.

Where is the fuse in a Sharp microwave?
It should be located in the back close to where the power cord comes in. After replacing the fuse if you still have the same problem then it's likely you have a bad high voltage capacitor, magnetron or power diode.
