Power Light Is Flashing Green Won't Turn On. How Fix It?

if the power indicator blinks once a second and the OPC is off then this is a back light failure. If it happens 5 times then the set will remain in this state (in shut down) until the counter is reset. you can over ride the shut down to see if the problem has been repaired or to troubleshoot.
To do this you remove the AC cord, press and hold the [volum down] and [input] buttons on the TV keyboard while reconnecting the AC cord. Release the buttons when the power LED turns solid green.
The problem could the power/inverter board (around $175) or one of the florescent back lights inside the panel (requiring a new pane and too expensive). Take it to a shop and get an estimate
