Unfortunately, your Seagate ST3000DM001 does not require a driver software to be installed on your Windows XP computer. The most important factors that you need to consider are the compatibility and cable connectors. Make sure that these are compatible to your motherboard. Please read the manual here on how you can setup this hard disk.
