There is a shift lock release that will enable you to shift out of park. Typically this release is located very close to the gearshift, on the left side. It will probably be hidden beneath a small cover that you can pry up with a flathead screwdriver or pocketknife.

check to make sure that the brake lights are working . if the brake lights are not coming on check the fuses under the hood first mainly the stop/brake light fuse. if the fuses are good and have power at the fuse then move on to the stop light switch at the brake pedal you must remove little plactic cover at the pedals to get to the stop light switch you need to test for power going in one side and with brake pedal pressed down the power should come through the other side . the shift lock solenoid sometimes is right next to the stop light switch and works the same way test both .most of the time with brake lights inop and all fuses are good it is infact the stop light switch ....
