Repair Question Concerning Samsung Un46b6000vf 46' Led-backlit Lcd Series 6 Tv
I have a two year old Samsung Series 6 46" LED-backlit LCD TV (P/N UN46B6000VF). a while back I noticed that there were very thin black horizontal lines appearing in the screen starting from the lower right-hand corner. They did not seriously detract from the picture, however recently I started getting light vertical lines as well. These lines came and went for a few weeks, then got gradually worse until now they are here to stay. They change depending on where the picture is white (for example, on a very dark screen they are almost un-noticeable...add even a small line of white text and wherever that white text is, a white line shows up across the entire vertical length of the screen in the exact width of the text (or picture). Take away the white text, and the white line gradually fades and disappears.
I also feel inclined to mention that when the TV first started displaying the light vertical lines, there were a few instances of images staying on the screen for a few seconds and "overlapping" with the new images.
I don't know a whole lot about LCDs but I believe it is either the T-Con board/LVDS Cable or the panel itself. Based on the description I gave, can anyone maybe give me a better idea of what it might be? Thank you in advance.
