Hl-s5679wxxaa - Green Shadow Outline
Samsung TV has a green shadow outline around people/objects. What is causing this? Is is worth repairing or just purchasing a new one?

without seeing the complaint all I can do is guess, but there are usually two parts that can do this and the connecting cable between these assemblies. These are the Digital/main board and the DMD board on the optical engine, and the LVDS cable connecting them together. Many times when the Digital/Mani fails then the HDMI input might work good when a HD signal is watched.
These two parts are pretty expensive and repairing it could be north of $500. It would be worth taking it to a shop and getting an estimate.
