Remove the engine housing by removing the torx screw above the oil fill port. (The cover on mine is 2 parts -- black and yellow -- the yellow part comes off the black does not come completely off).
Remove the head cover (another Torx screw).
Note that the camshaft has a geared wheel driven by the timing belt. At the other end of the camshaft, inside the head enclosure, find the smooth wheel that has a single notch. You may have to rotate the camshaft to find the notch.
With the timing belt removed from the geared wheel, rotate the camshaft until the notch is at the top. You will note that with the camshft in this position both rocker arms are on "flat" parts of the camshaft -- so both valves are closed. This presumably is "Top Dead Center."
Below the geared wheel is the electrical takeoff for firing the spark plug. Below this is a fan / flywheel mounted on the main rotor / crankshaft. Push the fan blades gently to rotate the fan around (the piston will be going up and down inside the cylinder but you won't see it of course). Note the 2 smooth surfaces on the outer edge of the fan -- these are the electromagnetic material that triggers the spark as the crankshaft rotates.
Rotate the crankshaft so 1/4 of the first smooth part is visible while the rest is under the electrical takeoff. The other smooth part may be partly visible as well.
While holding the crankshaft in place, make sure the camshaft is still in place wiht the notch at the top. Slip the timing belt onto the geared wheel.
Replace the gasket and head cover, and screw it down.
Replace the engine housing.
Mine fired right upo doing it this way.
