I am not completely agree with the previous answer. You can follow this drill to pair it with iphone and ipad.
Hold the pairing button a little longer. The light started flashing and i tried to pair up an no luck. Then I did it again and held the button longer then the light started flashing very quickly and t found the device right away.
But on rocketfish forum their is multiple instances where this speaker is not connecting with iphones and ipads at all.
