Rca Rt2871h Sound Goes Out...

I set up my home theater system and connected it via HDMI cables to my PS3 and Xbox. We use it for gaming/Netflix. The sounds keeps dropping out and we have to pause whatever we are going, shut off the receiver and turn it back on. The sound will come back probably for about 20 minutes and then go back out. This is very frustrating. It mainly happens on the PS3. Xbox seems to be fine and the system is set to Dolby Digital. What causes this? The User Manual was useless.
