Setup Problems

I just bought the home theatre system and I hooked up my xbox 360 and ps3 all via HDMI cables. No sound comes out of the speakers except for one game thats saved in the the ps3. In the xbox360 sound comes out in only the front two speakers. I tried changing the settings from stereo and dolby but the outcome is still the same. I have a 40 inch Samsung TV.
