Cant Controle The Volume

I"ve just bought the RCA RT2911 Everything is working fine, the only thing it that sometimes I cant control the volume option in the remote control, it goes up and down like crazy. First I though the remote control was defective so I decided to program the cable remote control in the aux for only control the volume but it happens the same. I can go to the store and exchange the receiver but it took me about two hour to install everything, thinking of disconnect everything and do it again ...no please nooo....can somebody help me? Than you
