Try different codes. The RCA RCR804BFDR comes with a list of codes for popular brands of VCRs. Try entering each code until you find one that works. You can find the list of codes in the user manual or on the RCA website.
Use auto pairing. The RCA RCR804BFDR also has an auto pairing feature. To use this feature, follow these steps:
Make sure that the VCR is turned on.
Press and hold the "TV" and "VCR" buttons on the remote for 3 seconds.
The remote will start to search for the VCR. Once it finds the VCR, it will beep.
If you have tried both of these methods and you are still not able to pair the remote with the VCR, then it is possible that the remote is not compatible with the VCR. In this case, you will need to purchase a different remote that is specifically designed for the Orion VCR.
Here are some additional tips for pairing your RCA RCR804BFDR universal remote with an Orion VCR:
