My Ipod Wont Play Because There Is A Lock That Is Displayed. How Do I Release It

Where is the lock, the iPod or the RCA CD player?
The user manual (http://www.helpowl.com/manuals/RCA/RCD175i/49497) for the CD player has no information about being able to lock it in any way.
