How Do I Get My Mp3 Player To Work?

my screen often goes all white and i just turn it off and then back on and the screen is back to normal. now it doesn't work. it just says " profiling. needs 20mb free space. shutting down. "

All my RCA M4304 mp3 player will do is turn on and say initializing then nothing else will happend what does that mean and what do i do?
