Rca 25424re1 - Call Display?

Recently purchased RCA 25424RE1 ( 2 phones, 4 line). How do I get the Call display to work, and the number of calls to be stored , total no. of calls is still displaying 0.

IMPORTANT: In order to use all of the Caller ID features of this telephone, you must subscribe to two separate services available from your local telephone company: the standard Name/Number Caller ID Service to know who is calling when the phone rings and Call Waiting Caller ID Service to know who is calling while you are on the phone.NOTE: Features and options pertaining to Caller ID do not apply to Model 25423.
