How Do You Register A Cordless Handset To The Rca Visys 25423re1?

Its says to push REG on cordless then hold the PAGE button on the base unit but nothing after that.I have done this many times and slightly changed how I did this but nothing happens when I do it either way.It just simply says Registration failed. Is there some type of technique or something simple I am missing.Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you very much for your time.

To re-register the handset, first press menu on the base scroll down until you see deregistration then select it. It might ask if you are sure press "yes". Then go to your handset and remove the battery for 45 seconds. Replace the battery. It will ask if you want to register the handset. Select yes. Press and hold the "Page" button on the base until it "beeps" registration should start immediately. When it's finished and if there is no problem the message should read "Registration complete". Your handset should now be reconnected.

For RCA VISYS TC25255RE2 and handset DECT 6.0

If your having problems registering your handset start by unplugging your base unit and remiving the battery from your handset for 45 sec.  Plug the base back in first, then put the handsets battery back in.  Then press the REG button on the handset to start the process.  Emidatly press and hold down the PAGE button for 10 sec.  This should register your phone to your base unit properly.
