Is There A Fuel Regulator On This Car?

new car for me and after driving on the highway 20-30miles,then returning to in town speed sometimes it acts like its running out of fuel,so I aply less or more fuel it seems to clear itself up.car has 96646 on it extreamly clean well maintained,can you help?

Change the fuel filter. Its getting a steady pressure flowing thru it during your highway driving and when you slow down in town it takes it a little bit for the clogs in the filter to sort themselves into a pattern that moves fuel thru it again
