Windshield Wipers For A 1998 Pontac Grand Prix

hi i am having a problem with the windshield wipers arm not returning to there proper seating position under the hood on my 1998 pontac grand prix gtp. Second question the wiper arms? Is the straight arm for the driver side of the car or the passenger?

Probably just wear in the wiper motor & the components. Most cars will have the straight wiper on the driver side.
