Where did you get the computer. They need to be programmed (flashed) for the individual car/engine/milage. Unless you got a used one with exactly the same specifications the computer won't work well, or as you've seen, at all.

There are shops that have the equipment but the only sure thing would be a dealer as the equipment to flash the ECUs is expensive.
