Reset Procedure Of E Module For A 1996 Trans Sport Van.

This 1996 Pontiac sport van has the door on drivers side that will not open from inside or outside. I would like to try the reset procedure for reprogramming the e-module that controls the keyless mechanism. I have seen it but can't find it again. It begins with turning on the ignition and pressing the remote open button for 10 seconds then turning off the ignition. I don't remember the rest exactly. It has to do with the lock button and? Hope someone can help.

The issue sounds more mechanical than electrical. It seems you have issues with the lock. You will have to remove the door panel and inspect the rod, actuator, etc. May be necessary to slim jim the door. Having said all, there does not prove to be a separate control model specific for the keyless entry.
