How To Charge The Iphone

I  just purchased this radio and cannot figure out  how to charge the IPHONE.  It says  when the unit is connected to power the docked IPOD/IPHONE begins to charge.  However,  I put the IPHONE on the dock, which is plugged in, at 90% and 1/2 hour later it was 89% so it did not charge it.

It should be automatic as long as a wall power cord is connected.  If not then either the iPhone, radio, or connector is defective.  Make sure that the iPhone is properly seated.  If the phone charges OK with a sync cable then I would suggest you consider returning the radio unit for replacement.  Manuals are here if you need them:  http://www.helpowl.com/manuals/Philips/DC315/22018
