I Have Phillips 47pfl3603d, Turning Off Every 15 Min,then Smoking? Defective?
Is this a defect in this particular model, I believe it is a 2008 model, maybe 2007. Worked great then started turning off by itself every ten to fifteen minutes, after about 6 months of this behavior the cable tech came to look at this, he put in new boxes. Then I got nothing but sound but no pic. Then It came back to life with sound and pic, but then I smelled electrical burning and the top right screen literally started smoking. I unplugged. What happened? I didn't use the t.v. much and it was a really good picture/sound when I did. Then it started acting up as stated above until one day it just started smoking, scared me. Glad I was home.
