Will The Light Bulb And Case Effect The Computer Screen?

-Ideally it should have any issue, unless and until used very ruff/physical damage
Initially, when your Pfaff Tiptronic 2040 is otherwise working fine but the LCD display screen begins to grow darker and you find you just can't read it, the only thing you can do is replace the LCD screen, or buy a new machine.
The LCD screen is not dark. When you turn on the machine it lights up. It does not display and will not go lighter or dimmer when turning the dimmer wheel. I repair and service all my other electronic sewing and commercial embroidery equipment but this one has me stumped. The seamstress downtown asked me to look at it after she flew it to a service center to replace a worn presser foot. The LCD worked fine when it left and must have been fine when they tested and returned it. Somewhere on the 1 hour flight it no longer displays. It was packed adequately. Could there be a loose connection for the display that is separate from the power supply as the screen has power to light it when switched on.
