Panasonic Tc-15lv1 Displays Reverse Color (sound Is Okay)

I've had this Panasonic since 2002.  It's worked beautifully until about a month ago.  About 6 months ago, I moved so I no longer had Comcast and instead got DirecTV satellite.  Although the Panasonic picture now displays reverse color 99% of the time, the living room TV is fine. A friend suggested that I get a satellite signal booster, so I went to Radio Shack when I was in their area (it's about an hour from me) and got their brand of Satellite TV In-Line Amplifier.  Since the amp has male connections on both sides, I went to Home Depot and got a 3ft RG6 Coax Cable with female connections on both ends. Then I connected the satellite cable to the amp, the amp to the 3ft cable, the 3ft cable to the Panasonic.  When I turned it on, the satellite receiver couldn't find a signal and the TV colors were still reversed. My next test was to bring the living room satellite receiver into the office and hook it up to the Panasonic.  Same result. Then I took the TV into the living room and hooked it up to the receiver there.  Same result. Now I'm thinking, as I originally thought, that there's something wrong with the TV.  What do you think?  If so, what's wrong and how much would it cost to fix it (and where can I take it, near Placerville, CA)?  If it's not fixable or would be horribly expensive, can you recommend a replacement?  I don't need the DVD feature that the Panasonic has.
