My Big Problem

Ihave Panasonic DVD-LS91. It is not working. But when i plugged it to it`s adaptor, i noticed that the left side of the player grew hotter and hotter. I quickly unplug it to prevent bigger damage. That`s why i can`t distinguish its main problem. I don`t know what to do. Please help. I`m stuck with this problem.
