Control Panel Unit Will Not Release

The control panel unit will not lift out of the fryer therefore I cannot remove the oil container. Is there a release buttoto that will unlock it from the fryer? Thanks.

This is probably not the preferable way to do this, but i had the same problem got frustrated... lay it on its back and with a bottom to top motion hit it ...HARD , this worked for me!
