Service Engine Soon Light Is On
Can the oil be low if the service engine soon light comes on.

While low oil pressure MIGHT cause a Service Engine light to come on, and low oil level can create low pressure, low oil should also trigger the Oil light. If all you are seeing is the Service Engine light and no Oil Warning light, it is unlikely that low oil is causing the Service Engine light to trigger.
