How Do You Clean The Key?

If you are having problems with your key, you will have to have another one made. If your key is acting up, all you can do is wipe it off with a cloth. If it still doesn't work, the resistor chip is worn or damaged.
Another possibility is the thin security wires that connect to the ignition cylinder are damaged or broken. I had that problem with both of my 1996 Luminas. If that's the case, you will have to take it to a dealer or to someone you know who can repair the wires.
