Stalling

Hello, i own a 2006 Altima, 2.5 with 82,000 miles. lately it will occasionally stall while at a low rate of speed, and stall on and off all the way to my destination. Next 3 or 4 day's it runs like a top. I was told months ago i have a bad gas cap, Engine light goes off for day's, then stays on for days. Any suggestions? Thanks.              Steve

First get the engine codes read. If there is nothing there, I had a fuel filter plug up and cause the same thing. Also the idle speed can be set by a computer at Nissian.

Is it different if the air is on or not. The computer is suppose to raise the idle speed for the added compressor drag.
