Rear Light Replacement

The reat light (break light) of my nissan versa 2006 is not functioning when I step on my break or put on my full light at night. I have taken it to an electrician, he tried but could not really get it. How do i replace the rear light? must the entire keyed cover in the boot be removed? Please if there is a pictorial view of replacing it also kindly send.
