How To Repair Broken Chain Holding Spare Tyre

As long as the broken part will not be going through the actual lift mechanisim, go to the hardware store & carry the part that is broken off . Tell them that you want a "quick link" for that size chain, then simply place it over both ends of the broken chains & screw it together. You might want to use a pair of pliers to snug it down, then uset the lift as usual.
