Coolpix 510 Won't Turn On Green Light Flashes Fast When Plugged In

Please help only had this camera a couple months now and it won't turn on I plug it in and the flash light blinks fast (green) and the on/off button is solid green when I hit the power button both lights shut off and when I unplug it nothing happens I have pulled the battery sever times makes no differance... Please help

Be sure to use the official Nikon charger that came with the camera. Standard USB charger doesn't seem to be able to allow correct charging environment.

You're probably using a usb that's not within the correct amp limits. My canon charger puts out 0.55 amps and the camera charges correctly. When I plug it into a 2 amp usb I get the same rapid flashing green light on the flash icon.

Change to a lower amperage power supply , unit will then work.

You might have to let unit cool for about 15 minutes between tries
