What is AOSS and when would I use it?
AOSS stands for Air Station One-Touch Secure System. It is a proprietary method of security that automatically configures the SSID and WEP key for wireless routers made by Buffalo Technology and a wireless device connecting to it. You can use the AOSS setup method with any AOSS compatible router. AOSS capable routers will have a button on the router identified with the letters "AOSS." Review the documentation for your router to verify if it is AOSS capable before continuing with your setup.
Netgear has their own version of AOSS on this router called "Push-N-Connect". There is no other AOSS function on it.
Once the feature has been configured in the management software you can press the button on the router that looks like a green circle with a white lock inside to activate it. The button is located on the rear of the router.
