Wn1000rp Wifi Extender Won't Connect To Router.

Am attempting to extend my Wifi network using WN1000RP Wifi Extender. Have used the smart wizzard to set up everything. Set up seems fine but when I try to connect to the newly created & named _EXT wifi - it just starts the set up process again. The WN1000RP's link rate LED not on. WN1000RP is approx 3 meters from router. Is it relevant that the set up leaves me on the last page "You are now one step away from completing the installation" but there are no links to navigate beyond this page? Can anyone HELP!

I solved this - others may find this helpful

Two things were the cause of my problem. I initially I tried setup using WPS button but realized that my router didn't have this connection facility. So I reset my WN100RP but didn't reset it fully. Make sure you hold the reset for a full 30 secs. If you don't (ie hold for 10secs) you restore the initial network name "Netgear_EXT" wifi network name but the password info. is not reset.

Secondly - when doing the setup, you come to the screen where you are asked for your password / passphrase. If using WEP security, don't enter this in the box marked "passphrase" - enter your 10 character security pass code in "Key 1"

Thanks netgear tech. - it took 69 mins to solve but eventually worked.
