How Do I Use My Netgear Wgr614v10 As An Access Point

i have a wireless modem(sagemcom fast 1704) on the main level of the house but the wireless won't reach the basement to work on my wii. i also had a netgear wireless g router WGR614v10 , i was trying to hook it up to extend my signal. I wired it from one router to the other and it still will not show any wireless going thru the router. any help would be great.

You install the correct version from DDW RT website which does not currently exist.  Development might have it soon though.
