Netgear Router Dgn2200mv2 Keeps Loosing Connection?

Goodday, I bought my Netgear Router DGN2200Mv2 a month ago and it keeps loosing connetion, I am from South Africa and the firmware i am useing is v1.0.0.31_1.0.31. i also have anothe problem with conflict IP adress i have checked the modem aswell as my 2 laptops and it is set on automatic ip?

That specific modem is very problematic. I have the same one. The problem is Telkom's firmware which can't updated with stock netgear firmware. The chipset overheats and then it reboots. You can goto HCOM.co.za to download new telkom firmware that may or may not fix the problem.

I have seen various people post that the stock DGN2200M from Netgear (not the telkom one) works fine but apparently the chipset is different from the one Telkom supplies.

I recommend either swopping the modem for a D-Link or just go buy a better one from somewhere else.

Telkom has the tendancy of supplying subpar routers anyways....
