Netflix Loading,no Movie Shows

i have a new lg smart tv with a yr free script to netflix,i have activated the acct but when i select a movie,it starts then loads for several minutes,starts again,then repeats loading every few seconds,i cannot watch a movie without this occuring,whats wrong,i only have dsl internet,is that the problem,do i need higher speed internet to make netflix work right,movies show fine on laptop but not tv..help

DSL will not cut it for streaming movies, you need high-speed.
