the download for a movie does not work on anything we have tried

Either your Internet connection is slow or your wifi signal is too weak or you don't have enough memory on your computer, whichever way you're trying to watch.

In addition to what pellkiness said, you may want to contact Netflix Support at 1-866-579-7172 for additional assistance, if you continue to experience issues. They may be able to resolve this issue for you.
