Most likey not, what make/model phone and if this was an android what security/antivirus app were you running? Some do backups as part of their service routine.

Hi. Unfortunately this is not possible unless if you had made backup of the contacts else where, like email (eg. synchronise with Gmail) or onto your computer as the contacts are stored either on the memory of the Sim card inside the phone or the internal memory of the phone - and when the two get lost or stolen the contacts sadly goes with them.
