Coolpad Phone

my Coolpad phone was in my pocket the other day and it's just was hot real hot like it was about to catch on fire I had to take the battery out

Phone is in your pocket electronic devices need fresh air as well because on that time when it was in your pocket current is flowing in the phone it was not switched off.

So its hot it is ok that is the protecting mechanism of the battery
