Over Heating And Exploding Phones

My family has three of the zte phones.Two Zte max ProsOne Zte blade ZMaxNow we have replaced one of the zte max Pros And the other one over heats so bad that o have to shut it off to cool down, to me that shouldn't be happening.I have replaced the zte blade ZMax back in May 2018 due to the power button stopped working, bought another zte blade ZMax May 2018 and just a little over 5months later the phone got hot and exploded in my daughter hand at school. This phone had an OtterBox to protect it so I've also contacted them. I want to know why if the zte phones were being pulled due to over heating issues why were they still being sold? And how we can get these phones replaced.
