Warning Indicater

after the car has been turned off and the keys removed if the driver's door is open it beeps and the driver door will not lock unless by the key after the door is closed

I had the same problem and had to wiggle the ignition switch, that worked for awhile. Chances are that it is worn out and will need to be replaced. I have seen it in other FORD vehicles as well.
