Abs Light Illuminated
My question is what does it mean when the ABS Light is on in the van, this is the first time that its come on. I have no experience with cars so im worried if its something to do with my brakes and if they need to be replaced or could something else be wrong

I would suggest you check the brake fluid reservoir level first. If its ok The lights could be related, both WSS & ABS systems use the speed sensors at the wheels and work together. I'd suspect a Wheel Speed Sensor (WSS) malfunction. Often they get fouled by iron from the brakes or dirt, or water gets in the connectors and cause a failed or weak signal. That would cause the warning lights to come on and cause the ABS and Traction Control systems to stop working. It's a safety issue so get it fixed ASAP. You may want to find a Ford/Merc specialist.
